Profound words today, from a deeply thoughtful and compassionate person. Today's letter is spot on. You are doing good work in the world. We are fortunate to have you.
Love those thoughts and great advice. Bold choice to make the pitch for Kamala at the end. It resonates with me but you may have lost any red readers! Which is unfortunate because they need this advice too. Keep up the good work
Whatever color emerges after Nov. 5th., we'll have to live with it for the next 4 yrs., so we may as well figure out how to nurture our relationships with both colors, because "some people have a lot of knives and forks and they gotta cut something." B. Dylan.
The openness, trust, and honesty required to nurture and grow a relationship is an incredible challenge and the risk is what persuades many/most people to take the less risky path of just swallowing their pride and sense of self and avoiding the pain that sometimes accompanies weed removal. Social relationships not being an issue for me at the moment, I'd be happy to engage in the sort of conversation that George correctly suggests is essential but have had no success in finding a similar attitude among supporters of the former president. We must always continue to try and recognize that sometimes the unexpected is the most valuable, enlightening and enduring of experiences.
Totally positive message. Found out since receiving my Kamala-removes stubborn orange stains t-shirt a month ago that any woman who is nice to me is part of the MAGA movement. While I had previously thought that meant they accepted all sorts of lies, bad manners, and inhumane policies like separating children from their parents, I now believe most are simply unaware of a lot of facts. I hope the people in this nation are able to look for the good in each other again.
As a gardener farmer kind of a guy, I love the analogy. But you packed a whole lot of good thoughts and "best practices" into this one. I am saving it to read through a few more times.
After several attempts at developing a "lasting relationship", I finally arrived. The words that come to mind that are our "glue" are trust, respect and empathy. Toss in support for each others family and friends and a dollop of compliments to each other for good measure. We've got each other's back. We partner on decisions. And we respect each other's vetoes which are infrequently applied.
