βAnd so, lifting as we climb, onward and upward we go, struggling and striving, and hoping that the buds and blossoms of our desires will burst into glorious fruition ere long.β - Mary Church Terrell
Just as Rabbi Yeshua (Joshua in English, Jesus in Greek) connected with his heritage and with the teachings of Isaiah 700 years before his time who said, β Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him . . ?β
Like you Bill, I don't normally listen to podcasts because I have a hard time engaging with disembodied voices, but I'll make at least one exception in this case and see how it works.
I agree with your comments on the hidden Satans; God help them when they meet the Maker they all purport to be representing here.
This is beautifully written and I thank you for it. We do need each other more than ever as we see such abuses from Trump and his minions. I look forward to your podcast.
I have also been saying that there is a lack of empathy now...and young children learn empathy by seeing how words and actions hurt others. On tele-connections as we have today...this lesson in humanity is missing. Even older folks missed it, I guess, but we can change this. Other countries have limited time on their screens or devices for young people, we can, too. connection, as you have said, is everything in this moment...real, true life connections. thanks for your beautiful insightful idea to use your human voice, as well.
Very well done Deborah, and, as you'll see from my response to Bill, I'm looking forward to the podcast.
The song Love Lift Us Up is the result of the coming together of three diverse talents; the songwriting of Buffy Sainte-Marie, the incredible voice of Jennifer Warnes, and the blues vocals of recovered heroin addict Joe Cocker. That these people from frequently abused and often ignored parts of our human community could produce such beauty is strong evidence of what we can accomplish when we work together instead of at cross purposes or, as seems to be the case with many in the current administration, at being anti-life.

I read. I don't listen to podcasts. I am not "normal". (Proudly:)
But I applaud silently any effort you make to broaden your audience and spread your goodness and compassion.
More "solutions" and less retributions.
More empathy, less othering.
More love, less hate.
If a "religious" leader isn't saying that, they are imposters...the Devil in Disguise.
Not that I really believe in a devil. Despite all the growing evidence....
you are a delight
to me dear bill
they are barefaced devils
and i don't believe
in a devil either
and
i read too
so this is a stretch
