A delightful anecdote, free of what I would refer to as 'mushiness, i..e over sentmentality, yet replete with caring, compassion, fore-thought and action aimed at resolving a situation of difficulty. The actions of those involved showed not only the inner strength and compassion of yourself but of the communal interaction among a group who each contributed to an outcome that, I'm sure, was of immense joy to both dog and its young carer.

This anecdote is a wonderful model and one of a type I would prefer to see shared far more often than those of crass sensationalist behaviour, criminal subterfuge or offence and questionable praise for individuals who have *succeeded* as defined by wealth, status, power or fame.

Thank you for sharing.

Dr. Hall, these poems are really special and heartfelt, blessing us with your experiences and lessons on Life, getting through the holidays, the memories of your father always cracking you up with his jokes. All making us feel how grateful we should be for all the things we have in our lives. Thank you so much for this and wishing you the merriest of Christmases!
