Thank you, Stewart

We'll hold democracy together,

Hopefully other states will follow the lead of Colorado, who has made no bones about his being an insurrectionist and barred him from running in the primary. I'd hate to see his name on a ballot, but if it is, I'll work tirelessly for his defeat.

It is tireless people like you who will defeat him, Sara! Thank you for every ounce of sweat and spirit you pour into it.

I, too, wish he were barred from the ballot just as we barred Confederates after their

bloody Insurrection. Preventing civil war now would sure beat fighting another.

The proto-fascist, anti-democratic and un-American forces now in play against our nation are far bigger and stronger than any one person can stand up to on their own. Or are they?

Every eligible citizen in fact possesses the single most powerful weapon against these forces that there is: their vote.

So, when all the talk and commenting and sundry activism is done, the real defense against those who wish to destroy our democratic republic will still be to unfailingly go to the polls and pull the trigger on that weapon, its aim steadied by the guidance of a conscience informed by the ideals of freedom, liberty and justice for all, ultimately granted through the authority of our Constitution, which clearly that vote must now be cast to protect and defend first, foremost and always.

If ever there were a promise worth keeping, promising oneself to do that would be it.

Thank you, Michael, for your powerful call.

You have given me a new understanding of the vote. I never thought of it this way, but yes, our deeply considered vote IS

the most effective weapon we have for protecting and defending our Constitution.

Love the distinction between resolutions and promises.

And my thoughts have turned to the same subject, which I address in my post next morning.

But I will tell you that every time I read a post like yours, it makes my promise to myself all the stronger to be able to say that I did everything I was capable of doing in 2024 to prevent a Trump victory.

Thanks Deborah!

You are so welcome, David!

We will strengthen and encourage each other to do everything in our power to do that. That is my goal here, to strengthen us to build freedom on all levels. Winning in November will open the doors to a new birth of freedom in America.

Interesting lead-in and a profoundly committing summation. I'll be voting early so I can work at the polls for one more cycle. I remain confident in the American people that we will defeat the forces of authoritarianism and restore at least some normalcy to our political world. That President Biden has laid a foundation for us to build on is one thing I'm grateful for this year.

Have a very Merry Christmas Dr. Hall and a blessed New Year.

Thank you so much, Dave, for your strong response, for the actions you will be taking in poll work and voting, and for your blessings. I share your confidence that the American people will come through this crisis proud and free, and I too am deeply grateful to President Biden for laying a firm foundation for us to build upon

And I wish you also a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year, Dave.

Am thinking how important the poll work is that you will be doing in November.

Wish I had included this work in the actions

I am urging in my letter!

Thank you for bringing it forward.
