OK. Could this be my favorite "Solution" from Dr. Hall? It's in the top three, for sure. Why?
1. Nothing new happens without a new idea.
2. Just complaining is just complaining.
3. To grow something new, we must plant new seeds.
Lately I have been writing "Fantasy Substacks" about what can happen when we elect the right leaders and take advantage of the surprises the Universe always hands us. Much of it would be called unrealistic. But doesn't the news today also sound and feel "unreal"?
What has happened to this great nation was dreamed about by some foolish, selfish and cruel bigots - and it has become a reality. Unacceptable reality. A horror.
Let's all dream of a better country. A more peaceful world. Let's dream of a planet that will sustain life and help its diversity expand and prosper. The alternative is a nightmare.
I choose to dream. It's also called "Creative Visualization". Which can lead to a better reality.
Your "Fantasy Substacks" are remarkably reasonable and sensible for all that they are created from whole cloth and we'll certainly all be better off if/when any part of these dreams comes true.
I dream of a world where my granddaughter can control her own body, my grandson is not made to fight in a war, and where they both enjoy the democracy and liberties promised by our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
I was told to give up my dreams and make a career of the Army because I couldn't do anything else. Then I realized the person who said that had given up their dreams to pursue money and in pursuing money had become enslaved to the person who had the money. I never listened to his advice, pursued my dreams and became successful. The success wasn't money, it was the fulfilling of my dreams.
I believe dreamers are born with that wonderful asset . Others need to be encouraged by their dreamer friend as it is never easy to step outside of the bounds you are comfortable with. I never want to say “I shouda, woulda, coulda” (with my NY accent). Dreamers always face some failures along the path of their dreams but the eventual fulfillment is indescribably worth the stumbles and falls.
It is amazing, but not surprising how many songs have dreams as their theme and a better future as their goal. Andy Williams' The Quest, better known as the theme from The Man of La Mancha, is probably the best recognized and, like Cervantes' book, is an unfailing inspiration to look for something better than what you see. "Some people say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one", and Lennon, even absent his physical presence, left a spiritual mark that far surpasses anything else that he and Ringo's old band did together.
Dreams are the place where hope begins. Where possibilities are conceived. Where life rearranges and emerges renewed.
Dream on. 🖖

Thank you Dave.
You, my friend, are a dreamer. And so am I.

as they say
dear lee
birds of a feather 🪶🪶
flock together
I dream of a world where my granddaughter can control her own body, my grandson is not made to fight in a war, and where they both enjoy the democracy and liberties promised by our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
Thank you for sharing your dream with us.
it is the joy
of my life dear fred
that you receive
what i have
always hoped to give
Dreams occur when you are open to possibilities!
i did not think
of that dear stanley
but you are so right
a closed mind
cannot dream!

ah geo
i am so glad
you looked down
that empty road
and decided instead
to truly live
your own life
through fulfilling
your own dreams
i salute your success
with a huge grin
you are your own man
priceless
and nobody
can ever buy you
Dreaming presupposes there will be a moment of awakening.
Do not let this pass you by let you get mired in illusion.
thank you babette
for your insightful warning
yes we can get mired in illusion
and we often do
we can just as easily
get mired in reality
it takes cultivating
the capacity to dream
while remaining wide awake
Beautiful and inspiring ✨️ ❤️
o my
thank you so much william ♥️
i am deeply touched
by your words
that is my dream
to inspire

dear steven
thank you for your
generosity of spirit
yes those of us
for whom dreaming
is second nature
were born with it
but others need our
encouragement
it is very hard
for a realist
to give themselves
permission to dream
just as it is very hard
for a dreamer
to face reality:)
what you are leading us
to realize
is that we need each other
a dreamer and a realist
are poetry in motion

thank you dave
i am so glad
you brought in
our beloved dream songs

lennon's song
inspires us
gives us hope
reassures us
